2) You can deactivate facebook account temporarily through your account settings. Deactivating account won’t delete any of your content but it will be inaccessible to your friends/family, Deactivating your facebook account will apparently makes you invisible from Facebook service. But, later on if you want your Facebook account back, you can do so by reactivating your account it will restore all your information back to previous state.
Step by step tutorial on How to deactivate facebook account temporarily
1) First, you have to login to your account using email address and password you originally registered with.
2) Navigate cursor to upper right corner on your home page, then click on down arrow.

3) Here you need to click on Security on left hand menu. You can see clear screenshot below.

4) Click on “Deactivate account link” show in this above pic. Then you’ll come up with a Form shown below, choose the radio button next to the reason for deactivating your account, you can also write further information in box given.

5) Then Click on Confirm Button, you’ll see a popup window for password confirmation, enter you password and click on Deactivate Now button.

6) Thats it after clicking of Deactivate Now button, you’ll see something similar to the screenshot given below.
